Make Shin Time Now

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

Today we learned that I run like an underfed afraican water buffalo. I did a four mile run in just under nine mintues a mile. I feel sort of sucky about it. I mean I ran up the side of a mountain at the same pace just 3 months ago. To much time off etc etc. On the plus side, while my shins did twinge a bit, they never really hurt. So yay, sort of — Over all.

Mountain Man

I ran again today and it seemed much colder than yesterday. The trail was better packed though so it was faster. That is all.

We’re #2!

Monday, December 29th, 2008

What state of Anarchy and Insanity the world has fallen into for my poor maligned, ignored and misbegotten blog to reach the number 2 ranking for Humes Fork on google I will never know. The dour Scott’s Man Hume would be, I feel quite necromantically comfortable saying, un-impressed.

From January 23, 2008 till today the 29th Day of December 2008 We’ve enjoyed something like 425 unique visitors not technically savvy enough to block the google spider. Which is, far more than we deserver of course. While Hume’s other Fork lacks the traffic from Russia that adultromper.com garnered, I still feel proud to know that readers in all of the Scandinavian countries, south africa and the Canary Island are visiting my website, seeing that it has nothing to do with Hume and GTFO. I am honored. Also the google analytics city map looks surprisingly like a map of the spread of a zombie plague. Coincidence?

The run today in mostly hard packed snow was nicer than last Friday but still quite lame for those who are interested.

Also, I really do miss my old Russian readers, they used to click on my google adds out of sympathy.

Oh and by the way Oslo is the first foreign city on my list of most visited by Cities, so may I say a hearty Skoal! to all you wonderful Norwegians. Sadly I have no umlauts.

Oh Yah and to continue an ill-advised rant, what’s up with Israel?? I mean, dont get me wrong, I am 100% behind military adventure-ism with both an ill defined purpose and rational, but this seems excessive, possibly even bushian.

Also I am a fan of both running on and fragmenting sentences.

Rocky!

Friday, December 26th, 2008

Besides spending my time laying the undead to rest, updating this silly thing, I’ve also been running in 7 inches of snow.

I’m sore, exhausted and my sinuses ache from the cold air. It was a good time.

A Brutal Run

Wednesday, December 24th, 2008

I went for a run in about 4 inches of soft snow over harder snow and ice. It sucked. Instead of the 3 miles I wanted to do I only made about 1.6-1.8 and it took forever. My poor little feet couldnt find any traction.

Novell Alaska

Novell training in Anchorage woo hoo.

Shenanigans and funny buisness all around.

Street Legal

Friday, December 5th, 2008

Except, of course, I do find joy in my job and I don’t kill people.

I am now street legal, and there was much rejoicing!
